Bald gibt es neue QNG – Fotos mit Petra – wir freuen uns sehr darauf!

Wie immer geht unser Dank auch an die beiden Blockflötenfirmen KÜNG undMollenhauer, die uns mit ihren wunderbaren Instrumenten unterstützen und im September sogar mit einer Sonderausstellung bei den „Holzbläsern“ in Berlin innerhalb unseres Konzert- und Workshopwochenendes dabei waren.

Ausblick 2013:

QNG feiert im kommenden Jahr sein bereits 15jähriges Bestehen! Dazu laden wir schon jetzt im Herbst 2013 zu unserem Jubiläumskonzert im BKA Berlin ein!

Wir bedanken uns bei unseren Freunden, Familien und Fans für die Unterstützung und Treue, das Mitfiebern und Begleiten!

Highlights:

Every concert is something special of course, but there are some which will be remembered even more. Next to performances through Europe we would like to point out following events: at the Berlin new music festival ULTRASCHALL 2012 we premiered Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri’s „untitled IV – atemlos“. This is already the second piece written for our group by this greek composer.
Furthermore we premiered transcriptions of Alexandra Filonenko’s „Sirenen“ and Sofia Gubaidulina’s „Quartet for four flutes“.

During our U.S. tour we played the opening concert at this year’s MATA Festival in New York together with the reknown JACK Quartet and premiered Qin Yi’s „Sound Shadow“ written for recorder quartet and Yotam Haber’s „Estro poetic-armonico“ written for QNG and JACK.

We travelled on together with the five singers from CALMUS Ensemble and our program „Blaze of Glory“ including a premiere by the american composer and Pulitzer Prize Winner Paul Moravec “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace”.

QNG-Babies 2012:

End of June we ‘gave birth’ to our third CD „Fantasy ‘n’ Symmetry“ – recorded at Bayerischer Rundfunk and published by label GENUIN, Leipzig. We would like to thank both institutions for their wonderful support. Next to fugues written by J.S. Bach, G.F. Händel and D. Shostakowitch you will find new works written by W. Blecharz, M.E. Childs, Y. Pasowsky and E. Reiter. Next to radio broadcasts you can find reviews in magazines like “De Blockfluitist”, “Ensemble, “Tibia” and “Windkanal”.

And we are more than happy to announce that Andrea gave birth to her daughter Jasmine in August!

A big THANK YOU to Miako and Yoshiko Klein as well as Inga Maria Klaucke for their inspiring support in many rehearsals and concerts this year!

At the same time we would like to welcome Petra Wurz as a new QNG member – there will be new photos on our website soon!

Thanks again to the recorder makers from KÜNG and Mollenhauer, who are supporting us with their beautiful instruments. In September they presented their recorders at a special exhibition during our concert- and workshop weekend at „Holzbläser“ Berlin.

Preview 2013:

Next fall QNG will celebrate its 15 years anniversary! There will be a big jubilee concert at the BKA Berlin!
